BITS Support During Teacher Relocation To USA

  • Step 1 Once the applicants clear the interview with the US county schools, the school will provide the job offer letter. BITS legal team will work with the applicant and the US county schools to get the necessary paper work for H1-B visa filing. After a due process when the H1-B visa is approved, then BITS legal team will send the H1-B visa approval papers to the candidates.
  • Step 2 BITS legal team will send the H1-B visa approval papers to the candidates.
  • Step 3 The applicant now will use the USCIS (United States Citizenship and Immigration Services) approval document and will apply for H1-B visa at the nearest US embassy (Note: The candidates will apply for a US J1/ H1-B visa at the US embassy that falls in their Jurisdiction). The applicant will pay the necessary VISA fees, book an interview slot, and attend the interview at the US embassy.
  • Step 4 Once the local US embassy grants the VISA, the applicant/candidate will inform BITS.
  • Step 5 BITS will now work closely with the applicant and the US county schools to determine the date of joining in US schools.
  • Step 6 Once the US county school determines the joining date, BITS will book and pay for the accomodation for the applicant at Extended Stay hotels (where kitchen and basic utensils are provided for cooking). The applicants are responsible for the Air tickets. BITS has contracts with travel agents to provide Air tickets to the applicants at discounted prices. The applicants are advised to arrive atleast 2 weeks prior to their joining date, as there are many formalities that need to be completed befor the applicant is allowed to teach in the US schools.
  • Step 7 BITS provides complete support to the teachers when they relocate to the United states.
  • Step 8 BITS will conduct training classes, class room management workshops, as needed so that the teachers who are selected by the Public US county schools are well equipped to handle and manage the class rooms efficiently and they have the right kind of skill sets to be a successful teacher in the United States. For the newly relocated teachers, BITS team will provide guidance and assistance to the teachers and help them in getting Drivers License, Social Security card, accomodation (housing), background checks & security clearance, opening bank accounts. BITS will closely work with the teachers and the school system throughout the entire recruitment and relocation process.
